"The Rifleman" was a half-hour Western series which ran on the ABC Television network
from 1958 to 1963. It was set in the 1800's in the New Mexico Territory.

1. Program title
Captain James Gordon and gunman Lon Perry arrive in town.
2. Detectives visit boys
Lucas rides up and joins the boys. James notices a birthmark on Lucas' right arm.
3. Perry, Gordon, Aaron Wingate, Lucas
Lucas invites Aaron inside and the detectives leave.
4. Wingate, Lucas, Mark
Aaron tells Lucas that in 1871 a Mississippi steamship blew up killing Aaron's wife. The two-year old son was never found.
5. Wingate offers Mark a coin
The coin may be a silver dollar but looks larger than a real one.
6. Coin close-up
The prop coin has some kind of lettering on it.
7. Wingate gives Dollar Ten the coin
Dollar Ten explains that he got the name when a man gave him that amount.
8. Lucas threatens Gordon
Lucas hands Gordon to the sheriff. Aaron then admits that Mark is not his son.
9. Wingate makes an offer
Aaron offers to adopt the boy and take him to his home.
