The 1968 film "Targets" is about a long time horror film actor, Byron Orlok (Boris Karloff), who decides to retire because films are no longer interesting.

Film director Sammy Michaels (Peter Bogdanovich) persuades Orlok to make one final appearance at a drive-in theater before retiring.

Bobby Thompson (Tim O'Kelly) is a mentally ill young man who shoots his wife and parents and then becomes a sniper.

Thompson and Orlok meet at the drive-in theater with unusual consequences.
