The "Our Gang" films were short films made from 1922 to 1944. They were also known as the "Little Rascals."
 
The 1934 film "Our Gang - Mama's Little Pirate" is about a group of children living in the Los Angeles area in the 1930's who get into all kinds of trouble.
 
A local newspaper carries an article about pirate treasure being found in a cave and the gang decides to enter a local cave looking for treasure. They find a giant treasure chest and a giant pirate to go along with it.
 
Children are shown handling prop coins of various types and sizes, some quite large.
