The four 1940's Universal Studios "Mummy" films all featured a living Egyptian mummy named Kharis: "The Mummy's Hand" (1940), "The Mummy's Tomb" (1942), "The Mummy's Ghost" (1944), and "The Mummy's Curse" (1944).
All of these films were about an Egyptian cult protecting the tomb of the 3,000 year old Egyptian princess Ananka and killing archaeologists who desecrate the tomb. The cult leader or high priest wears a medal or amulet as a symbol of his position. The priest uses Kharis, a living mummy, as his assistant. For various reasons, the cult kidnaps a modern young girl to use in their rituals.

The medal is about the size of a United States silver dollar, one side has Egyptian hieroglyphs on it, the other side is blank.
