Prev Back Next
The 1957 film "Hold That Hypnotist" is one of the last "Bowery Boys" films with only Huntz Hall as "Sach" from the original group. The story was very loosely based on the "Bridey Murphy" story which was about a woman who supposedly recalled a past life while under hypnosis.

A quack doctor hypnotizes Sach who recalls a previous life as an English tax collector working in 1682 South Carolina. Winkle attempts to collect taxes from the notorious pirate Blackbeard.

Various imitation or prop coins appear on a table as doubloons and "pieces of eight".
