The 1971 film "Flight of the Doves" is about two children, Finn Dove (Jack Wild) and his sister Derval (Helen Raye), living in Britain, who flee their wicked stepfather Toby Cromwell to their grandmother, Mary Magdalene St. Bridget O'Flaherty (Dorothy McGuire) living in Ireland.
 
The children are heirs to a fortune and are pursued by another wicked uncle, Hawk Dove and their stepfather who want to eliminate the children to gain the inheritance.
 
While still in Britain they stop at a place where there are some British coins on a table.
