The 1965 film "The Cincinnati Kid" is set in the Depression era of the early 1930's in the city of New Orleans. Eric "The Kid" Stoner (Steve McQueen) is a poker player manages to get into a game with the best player Lancey "The Man" Howard (Edward G. Robinson) whom he had previously lost badly to.
 
Before the poker game Eric and a shoeshine boy play a street game of pitching nickels. Two Buffalo nickels are shown on the street.
 
During the poker game a player has a Franklin half-dollar on some currency notes.
 
After the game Eric and the shoeshine boy are pitching nickels again. Two Buffalo nickels are shown on the street both times.

The nickels are Buffalo or Indian Head nickels, minted from 1913 to 1938. The left picture shows the coin reverse and the right picture shows the coin obverse.

The half-dollar obverse on the one-dollar bills is a Franklin half-dollar, minted from 1948 to 1963.
