The 2005 film "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" features a United States peace silver dollar. The film is based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and stars Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka, the owner of the Wonka Candy Factory. The Wonka Candy Factory runs a contest where five "Golden Tickets" are hidden in five candy bars, the winners will receive a tour of the factory and other prizes. Charlie is a poor boy living with his parents and grandparents near the Wonka factory. He hopes to win one of the tickets. His grandfather gives him a silver coin (the peace dollar) which he uses to buy a candy bar. It does not have the prize ticket, but he then finds a paper currency note and buys another candy bar which contains a winning ticket. He joins the other winners on a tour of the magical factory. The film was originally made in 1971 as "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. A different large silver coin was featured in that film.
