The 1954 film "The Atomic Kid" is a comedy about Barnaby 'Blix' Waterberry (Mickey Rooney) and Stan Cooper who are prospecting in the Nevada desert for uranium. They get lost and wander into the Nevada atomic bomb test area. Stan finds an automobile and drives off leaving Blix in a house to face the explosion of an atomic bomb. The military finds Blix in the house eating a sandwich. Blix is taken to a Las Vegas hospital and kept a prisoner so that military scientists and doctors can run tests on him. Pretty nurse Audrey Nelson is assigned to keep him happy in confinement. Blix has become a radioactive celebrity who glows in the dark and has other effects. Blix manages to escape the hospital and heads for the Las Vegas casinos where he encounters Audrey. His radioactivity causes casino slot machines to "jackpot" and spill coins out onto the floor. At the casino a slot machine is shown with four coins in a display.

Blix becomes excited when he is near Audrey and his radioactivity increases. The slot machine front then appears.

The slot machine shows four coins which are prop coins. Blix and Audrey pull the slot machine handle and the machine "jackpots."

The machine spills coins onto the floor.
