"Rawhide" was an one-hour long Western series which ran on the CBS Television network from 1959 to 1965.
A group of cowboys in the Old West drive a herd of cattle hoping to get sell them at a market.
They encounter many adventures along the way.
This episode is titled "Incident Of The Rawhiders" and was first broadcast on November 14, 1963.
Cowboy Rowdy Yates encounters a young girl named Valley Rose. Two men then take Rowdy to the
camp of the Quade family, a large group of "Rawhiders" or cattle thieves. John Wesley Quade,
known as "Daddy" is the head of the family.
At one point to demonstrate their marksmanship Daddy Quade holds up a Morgan silver dollar and one of the
Quades shoots a hole in the coin.
A real Morgan silver dollar appears in this scene.

He sees a young girl working on a cow's hide.

He says "howdy" to her and she pulls out a knife. Two men ride up and at gunpoint take Rowdy to their camp.
5. The Quades' camp
Daddy Quade questions Rowdy.
6. Daddy Quade decides
Daddy orders Brock Quade to attack Rowdy with a knife. Rowdy takes the knife and Daddy orders Brock
to give his intended wife Valley Rose to Rowdy.
The Quades let Rowdy go but some follow him and discover the cattle herd.
The family shows up in force and to demonstrate their marksmanship Daddy holds up a silver dollar.

The coin is an uncirculated Morgan silver dollar and only the obverse is shown.

A Quade shoots the coin out of Daddy's fingers and another Quade picks it up and hands it to Daddy.

Rowdy tells the foreman Gil Favor about the Quades. Gil talks to Brock Quade and convinces him to disobey Daddy.

The Quades believe in exchanging gifts.
Rowdy asks Brock for his antique rifle and gives something to Brock.
