Wicked uncle pursues two young boys carrying cache of Mexican gold coins

The 2004 film "Undertow" is a family crime film about a wicked uncle and two young boys.
John Munn (Dermot Mulroney), a widower, lives in a house in Georgia with his two sons Chris Munn
(Jamie Bell) and Tim Munn (Devon Alan) who are about sixteen and ten years old. Deel Munn (Josh Lucas),
John's brother and the boys' uncle, visits John.
Deel has been paroled from prison. John and Deel's father supposedly left a cache of Mexican gold coins
on the property and Deel wants them.
The gold coins, imitation Spanish doubloons, are shown a few times in the film.
1. Georgia house
John Munn lives in a remote rural area since his wife Audrey died. His brother Deel arrives on parole
to visit John and his sons Tim and Chris.
2. The Munns - Deel, Tim, Chris, John
John puts Deel to work on the farm.
Deel complains that John was favored by their father and blames John for "stealing" Deel's girl Audrey
who became John's wife. Deel asks for half of the Mexican gold coins.
One day John catches Deel searching for the coins.
3. John sees his stuffed cat
The stuffed animal has been ripped open.
4. Deel finds the coins
Deel has found the coins behind a painting.
5. The coins
The coins appear to be imitations of Spanish Mexican "cob" doubloons (eight escudo) gold coins.
The two brothers fight and Deel stabs John to death.
Deel comes after the boys Chris and Tim but they elude him. Chris put the coins into a red sock and
Tim carries them. The boys attempt to drive away in Deel's Dodge Swinger but Chris can not drive a
stick shift car and the boys have to run into the woods.
The boys survive by taking odd jobs at farms and they are followed by Deel.
6. Deel following the boys
The boys ride a freight train and drop off near an urban camp where they meet two girls.
7. Two girls Lila and Violet
Tim forms a friendship with Violet.
8. Violet finds a coin
She leaves the coin alone and puts it back in the bag.
Deel appears and orders Chris to give him the coins.
9. Chris holds up the red sock
Chris dumps the coins into the water.
10. Chris dumps the goods
The coins fall slowly into the water.

12. Coins in the water
Deel's money dreams evaporate and he attacks Chris only to be stabbed by him.
