Woman spy identifies herself with a worn US Morgan silver dollar

The 1964 film "Night Train to Paris" is a spy comedy about an American former agent
working in London who agrees to take a valuable computer tape to Paris.
He is pursued by a killer who wants the tape.

1. Title
Alan Holiday works for the International Travel Airlines company in London.
It is New Years Eve and all of the flights and trains to Paris are booked.
2. Catherine visits Alan
She asks for two tickets and gives Alan a US silver dollar.
3. Silver dollar close-up
The coin is a United States silver dollar of the Morgan type, is very worn, and has a hole drilled into the
third digit of the date.
4. Alan recognizes it
Alan recognizes the coin as belonging to Jules Lemoine with whom he worked in the early 1950's for an
intelligence agency. Alan calls Jules and arranges to get Catherine and a photographer named
Louis Vernay onto the title train along with two of Vernay's models Olive Davies and Julie.
5. Louis Vernay, Alan, Catherine, Jules Lemoine
Jules is still a secret agent and he recruits Alan to take an important computer tape from London
to Paris. A killer named Krogh is working for the "other side" and he wants the tape.
Krogh kills Louis Vernay leaving Alan and the three women to board the train.
6. Olive Davies and Catherine on the train
Alan becomes somewhat attacted to the exotic Catherine.
Most of the train's passengers are members of the "Bear Ski Club" and they are going
to Switzerland for skiing. Many wear masks to parties and one member wears a bear costume.
7. Another spy?
Julie is Vernay's third model but does not participate in the intrigues.
8. Yet another spy?
The London police have been called in to investigate Vernay's murder.
Two policemen board the train and pick up a French policeman.
The ski club members are partying on the train.
9. Swinging Sixties
Model Julie dances with the ski club members.
10. Krogh wants the tape
Alan manages to keep the tape from Krogh and makes an unpleasant discovery.
11. Catherine wants the tape
Alan gets the gun away from her when the police arrive.
12. Olive gets the tape
