The 1977 film "New York, New York" is a musical film set in New York City during the late 1940's and is about the stormy relationship between big band singer Francine Evans (Liza Minnelli) and saxophone player Jimmy Doyle (Robert De Niro).

At one point orchestra members are riding a bus and playing cards. Some playing cards and United States coins appear on a table. The coins include quarters (25 cents), a nickel (5 cents), and pennies (one cent).

The coins include Washington quarters (25 cents), a Jefferson nickel (5 cents), and Lincoln pennies (one cent).

The reverse of one penny is shown and it is a Lincoln Memorial reverse, an anachronism as the Lincoln Memorial pennies were minted starting in 1959.

A Lincoln Memorial Cent "penny" coin:

United States Lincoln cent 1959-D
9. United States Lincoln Memorial Cent 1959-D
Bronze, 19.0 mm, 3.10 gm, Denver Mint

Lincoln cents were minted starting in 1909 and continue to be minted.

Back to the film:

Francine becomes pregnant and has a son. Jimmy is not interested in children and leaves her.

Both have successful careers, Francine as a singer and film star, and Jimmy as a musician and nightclub owner.
