The Sigma Chi College Fraternity held it's 1915 national convention in Berkeley in connection with the
Panama-Pacific Exposition being held in nearby San Francisco.
They elected officials including the "Grand Magister" and "Grand Praetor."
Their motto was "In Hoc Signo Vinces" ("In This Sign, Conquer") from the Roman Emperor Constantine.
The fraternity still has a chapter at the University of California in Berkeley.
