Prev Back Next
The "Lost Dutchman Mine" is a legendary gold mine supposedly located in the Superstition Mountains 60 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona.

Who produced this item is unknown, the design is vaguely similar to older medals.

It was supposedly produced in connection with a 1966 episode of the television show "Gunsmoke" titled "The Treasure of John Walking Fox" which starred Leonard Nimoy as an Indian, and was broadcast on April 16, 1966.

The medal does not appear in the episode but a California Gold Rush Octagonal Slug Medal appears.
