Howdy folks, I'm the Old Ranger.
I have another interesting true story for you. I'm sure you've heard of Lady Godiva, who, according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry. The hero of our story tonight is a man, a young newspaper reporter by the name of Sam Swift, and the streets are those of a Western city in the early 1900's.
Sam Swift is courting Marjorie Delafield, the daughter of the wealthy Mr. Delafield.

Pierce-Arrow automobile.
4. Mr. Delafield and Sam arrange the bet
Sam claims that within three days he will wear an "Antonio" suit, eat at the finest
restaurant in town, drive a Winton automobile, and have $1000 in the bank.
The father agrees that if Sam can fulfill these conditions he can marry Marjorie.
