The 1953 film "Shane" is a Western film set in the 1880's Wyoming Territory near the Grand Tetons mountains. The Starrett family, Joe, wife Marian, and son Joey are homesteaders being harrassed by cattle rancher Rufus Ryker and his hired men. Ryker finally hires Jack Wilson, a notorious gunman. In the local store and saloon Ryker and Wilson play poker with silver dollars.

The Teton mountains appear.

A deer grazes and then young Joey Starrett appears with a rifle.
He sees a man riding towards their farm.

The man is just "Shane" and he goes to work for the Starretts. Shane learns that cattle rancher Rufus Ryker and his men have been trying to drive the farmers out of the area.

The Graftons Store is the town meeting place.

Both the ranchers and the farmers visit the store and sometimes fights occur.

Rufus is at a table doing some accounting and some gold and silver coins are on the table. The coins are probably prop or imitation coins.

Rufus's methods scare off some farmers but others stay, including the Starretts. Rufus hires a gunman named Jack Wilson to scare off the farmers. The Starretts discover that Shane also knows a lot about guns. Jack hangs out at the Grafton's store and plays cards with Rufus and his men.

Jack looks at his money, again silver dollars or imitations.

The coin is too small to see the design. Joe Starrett is lured to the store to meet with Ryker. Shane provokes a fist fight with Joe and then goes in his place, followed by Joey.

Joey watches while Shane manages to kill Jack and Ryker.

Shane decides to leave the area and rides away while Joey cries out after him.
