The 1956 film "The Fastest Gun Alive" is a Western film about a man living in a small town who is believed by townspeople to be a former gunman.
 
George Temple (Glenn Ford) and his wife Dora (Jeanne Crain) run a store in a small town. George has a mental problem and when some men in a bar start talking about famous gunfighters, he produces a pistol, takes the men outside, and proceeds to shoot two silver dollars thrown into the air.
 
Three outlaws ride into the town and one, Vinnie Harold (Broderick Crawford), brags about being a "top gun." Vinnie hears about George and challenges him to a gun fight.

Vinnie Harold (Broderick Crawford) and two other outlaws ride into town. The three men enter a saloon and encounter a little boy who hands the silver dollars to Vinnie.

The boy tells Vinnie that there is a better gunfighter in town.
 
A third man has some stolen money on a table and is counting it.
