"Maverick" was a one-hour television series which ran on the ABC television network from 1957 to 1962. Maverick starred James Garner as Bret Maverick and Jack Kelly as his brother Bart Maverick. Both were gamblers and constantly getting into trouble. This episode only has Bart Maverick (Jack Kelly) in it. This episode is titled "Plunder of Paradise" and was first broadcast on March 9, 1958. Bart Maverick and Big Mike McComb (Leo Gordon) visit a remote Mexican village to search for a buried treasure. They encounter Dolly (Ruta Lee), a saloon singer, Grace Wheeler (Joan Weldon), a woman looking for her husband, and Mexican bandits. They find the treasure which is a chest full of coins including imitations of Spanish coins.

Bart Maverick and Big Mike McComb are in a remote Mexican town. Several people believe that there is a Spanish treasure chest nearby.

Grace is here looking for her husband.

Bart and Big Mike join the treasure hunters. Dolly then appears.

Dolly is a saloon entertainer and both are interested in Bart. Some Mexican bandits are also looking for the treasure.

The bandits chase the three into the hills.

The three find a cave and enter it.

They find a chest.

They open the chest.

The coins are imitation or prop coins.
The coin on the lower right has the reverse of a Spanish eight reales silver coin.
