The 1918 film "Just Rambling Along" is a short comedy starring Stan Laurel as a young man attracted by
a pretty girl into a restaurant and receiving a bill for more money than he has on him.

The scene is Venice, a Southern California beach town.
2. Venice
Stan Laurel and a boy both spot a wallet laying on the ground.
3. Stan and boy claim wallet
The boy gets the wallet with the aid of a policeman.
4. Clarine at the beach
Stan follows her into the restaurant but is thrown out when he can't pay the bill.
5. Stan sees money
Stan grabs the boy's dime and heads back to the restaurant.
6. Stan shows the money
Stan sits next to Clarine and has coffee only.
7. Not wanted here
Stan leaves the table somewhat wet.
8. Stan pays his bill
The clerk uses an ornate old cash register.
9. Bill for ten cents
"Please Pay Cashier"
10. Another try
Clarine swaps her $1.25 restaurant bill for Stan's ten cent bill.
11. Second bill and dime
The dime is a Barber type dime and only the reverse is shown.
