The 1946 film "The Dark Corner" is about a private detective in New York, Bradford Galt (Mark Stevens),
who was framed for a crime. He and his assistant, Kathleen Stewart (Lucille Ball), encounter a thug
named Fred Foss (William Bendix).

Bradford tells Fred "All right, shell out" and Fred puts his stuff on the table.
Included is a roll of nickels.
Bradford asks "Make nice brass knuckles, dont they?"

Fred replies "Brass knucks ain't legal, I just carry my change the hard way"
