The 1935 film "Charlie Chan in Egypt" is one of a series of films featuring the Chinese detective
Charlie Chan. The film was based on the Charlie Chan novels written by Earl Derr Biggers in the 1920's and 1930's.

1. Title
World renowned Chinese detective Charlie Chan has been summoned to Cairo, Egypt.
2. Charlie Chan flying to Egypt
Charlie is not confortable in an airplane.
3. Flying over the pyramids
The pilot shows Charlie the sights.
Charlie has been asked to investigate ancient Egyptian relics which have been illegally exported
to foreign countries.
4. Charlie meets Carol and Tom
Archaeologist Professor Arnold has been excavating an Egyptian tomb with the help of young assistant Tom Evans.
Also with them are Carol Arnold, the professor's daughter, Barry Arnold, the professor's effete son,
and Carol and Barry's uncle Professor John Thurston.
The family has a maid, Nayda, who dresses quite well for a maid.
5. Nayda the maid
She wears several necklaces made from coins.
The professor's body is found inside a mummy case and an x-ray finds a bullet in the body.
The Egyptian police are called and Charlie offers his assistance.
6. Snowshoes finds a friend
Charlie meets Carol's brother Barry who has little interest in Egypt.
7. Barry plays the violin
Barry collapses and dies.
8. Charlie examines hieroglyphics
The "hieroglyphics" look suspiciously modern.
9. Egyptian treasure
Tom goes ahead and Charlie and Snowshoes find him on the floor.
10. Charlie goes to Tom
The two men take Tom back to the hotel and call a doctor.
Tom begins to recover.
11. Charlie questions Nayda
She doesn't really say anything.
12. Nayda with her money

13. Charlie explains
Professor Thurston has been stealing the uncovered relics and selling them.
He committed the murders to silence witnesses.
