British officers in 1930's Iraq flip a British coin to fly a dangerous mission

The 1937 film "Another Dawn" is set at a small outpost in the Middle East where British soldiers are
fighting insurgents.

1. Title
A remote outpost -- a long, long way from Tipperary -- where a handful of the King's best
preserve a precarious peace amongst the warring natives, at the cost of much British blood
spilled in the desert sand.
Colonel John Wister commands a small British outpost in the town of Dickit in Mesopotamia (now Iraq).
Captain Denny Roark is one of his officers, and he owns a private airplane which he flies as a hobby.
2. The colonel and the new colonel's lady
The colonel arrives with his new wife Julia and Captain Roark meets the couple.
3. Julia meets Captain Denny Roark
At first Julia has no interest in Denny but she begins to see similarities between him and her lost love.

The map shows the principal cities of Iraq including Bagdad and Basra, along with the fictional Dickit.
5. Denny and Julia
Captain Roark is sent with a group of soldiers to negotiate a deal with a wily Sheik Achaben.
6. The soldiers ride out
The Northern Desert -- stronghold of Achaben -- powerful warring native Sheik -- who controls
the river water that is life and livelihood to the peaceful tribes in the valleys below him.

7. Passing an ancient ruin
Along the way the detachment is attacked by insurgents and a battle ensues.
8. British soldiers ready
Both groups form lines to fire at each other with rifles.
9. Insurgents firing
Several soldiers are killed and Captain Roark is brought back to the base wounded.
Julia shows extreme worry about him and Colonel Wister sees that she loves him.
10. The colonel suggests a solution
The colonel suggests that the two men flip a coin, Captain Roark calls "heads."

The coin obverse is shown and it is a British silver florin of King George V.

13. Captain Roark wonders about the coin
He goes to see Julia to tell her goodbye and both hear and see an airplane take off.
14. An airplane takes off
Colonel Wister has taken the airplane and is flying it.
Later a notice is received that the water is flowing again and that an airplane was shot down.
