The "Shepherd of the Hills Farm" is a stage attraction in Branson, Missouri inspired by the novel of the same title.
 
The Shepherd of the Hills was a novel by Harold Bell Wright, first published in 1907.
The story was about the lives of some of the Ozark Mountain people.
The book became a best seller and was responsible for a wave of tourism to the Missouri Ozarks.
The book was filmed several times, including in 1941 in color with John Wayne.
 
The town of Branson has become the center of a large tourist industry.
